Welcome to our many new students and families who will be participating in an engaging year of teaching and learning. Also, welcome back to our existing families who I look forward to working with during the course of this new school year.
Our school will again provide outstanding Literacy and Numeracy programs which will escalate the impetus for all of our students to realise their full learning potential.
Innovative programs occurring at Tahmoor Public School during 2015 include:
- L3 Kindergarten - Literacy
- L3 Stage 1 (Years 1 and 2) - Literacy
- L2 - Literacy
- Reading Recovery Support - Year 1.
- TEN (Targeting Early Numeracy) - Classes K - 2
- TOWN (Taking Off With Numeracy) - Classes 3 - 6
- Aboriginal Literacy and Numeracy coach - ( K - 6)
- School Band
- K - 2 School Recorder group
In 2014 our school demonstrated outstanding growth in both Literacy and Numeracy and we anticipate further pleasing growth will occur in 2015,.
Every student in the school is tracked on a Data Wall where their progress is monitored every five weeks. This ensures that all students are exposed to a relevant curriculum which is both relevant, challenging and engaging.
